What are the Saarland Open 2012?

The Saarland Open is an official speedcubing competition. It is the first time such an event takes places in the Saarland. Everybody can join - as long as one meets the time limits for the events one has registered for.

How can I participate?

To take part at the competition it is necessary to register beforehand! A detailed description of the registration procedure can be found here. We will accept at most 120 competitors. All further registrations will be put on a waiting list. The detailed registration procedure will be available under "competitors" as soon as the registration is opened. Any guests will have to register, too. Competitors or guests who are not registered will not be able to get in!

How much does it cost?

The entrance fee will be 5 € for the whole competition for all competitors and guests.

Food and drinks?

Food and drinks are not included in the entrance fee. But it will be possible to purchase both very cheap at the competition venue. It will also be possible to bring own food or drinks.

Also there will be a lucky draw with Cubikon vouchers with a total value of 100 € (3*20€, 1*40€) for all participants of the first round of 3x3x3!

For beginners...

There will be plenty of time to test the equipment (for example the official timing device, the Stackmat timer) and discuss the rules, if you have questions. However, every competitor must have read the official WCA regulations at least once before attending the competition, as their knowledge is important during the competition!
