Registration

For the entrance it is necessary to be registered, no matter if you are competitor or guest. The number of competitors is limited to 100. For the moment there is no limit for guests. Important: Everyone, also guests, please register separately!

Name, WCA ID and the registered events of every competitor will be published on our website. The mail addresses will not get published and are only for the sake of us being able to contact you.

The personal results of a competitor at the competition (including name and nationality) will be published in the public databases of the World Cube Association (WCA). During the competition, the official WCA regulations will be applied. Not obeying those rules can lead to disqualification!

Participation is open to anyone who can reach the minimum required times of an event (see schedule).

Important: If you choose to pay on-site and not via paypal or SEPA transfer (paying on-site is more expensive), please add "on-site payment" to the comment field when filling the registration form!

Registration procedure

This competition offers a pre-payment option, that allows competitors to register compulsorily for a cheaper price. Thus, the organisers can solidly plan with those competitors. The system described in detail:

  • Fill in the registration form as usual.
  • To complete the registration, send the money via Paypal to the organisation team. For seperate competitors this is possible with the Paypal button below. Don't forget to fill in the participants name in the comments field!
  • Alternatively, you can send the money via SEPA to the organizer's bank account. Please ask for the account details beforehand by sending an email to berlin-open@gmx.de.
  • Participants are only considered "registered" and listed among the competitors list after having paid and after having filled in the registration form. After this you will get a confirmation mail. Guests will get a confirmation mail as well but will not be listed on the competitors list.
  • People cancelling until a week before the competition will get back half of the money. Full refund is not possible at all.
  • After 100 registered competitors, all further registrations will be put on a waiting list. If this list becomes too long, the registration will be fully closed.
  • People on the waiting list can request back their money at any time. If someone is accepted as competitor due to cancelations he can still request all of his money back within 48 hours. After this time, the same rules as for anyone else will be applied. Of course all people on the waiting list that are not accepted until the competition takes place will get their money back after the competition.
In case you don't have a paypal account, you can also pay via SEPA bank transfer. Please ask for the organizer's account details by writing an email to the following address:
